The battery in our 2017 Impala was leaking and the vehicle was slow to start. Called John Holt Chevrolet and they were able to get us in on very short notice. Technician determined the battery was defective and it was replaced under warranty.
My dad was making a cash purchase using his General Motors employee discount for 2 vehicles for my sister and myself. One was a 2018 Camaro SS and the other was a 2019 Traverse Redline AWD. The Camaro was in transit to the dealership, but the Traverse was not. To make the buying process easier by being at one dealership we made a specific request to them to find the Traverse and have it traded in. They said they would get right on this. The request was for a 2019 summit white AWD traverse redline edition. The vehicle that showed up on the truck was a iridescent pearl FWD traverse redline edition. No one ever at any time contacted me to let me know that they had a redline traverse coming in to the dealership, but that it was not exactly what I was looking for and to see if that would be okay or if they needed to go ahead and work on finding me what I had asked for. Upon seeing the vehicle delivered to the dealership, I asked if it was AWD and no one could tell me yes/no until they printed a print out even though I knew it was not AWD since it did not show the AWD emblem on the back like I had seen on one previously. The salesman then informed me that it was not AWD but that there was a g80 rear locking differential on this vehicle. When I called my husband and told him this he said with that feature it would be fine even though it was not the AWD we had asked for. When it was time to make the purchase my husband showed up and looked under the vehicle to find out that we had been told wrong and there was not in fact the rear locking differential feature on my vehicle. By this point, we were already inside sitting with the finance person signing paperwork and writing the check and I was very upset and felt that I would come off as very unappreciative to my dad that was purchasing this vehicle for my family. My husband informed the salesman that if it wasn't for my dad already being there ready to do this deal we would not have purchased the vehicle and would have went else where to find our vehicle that we had asked for. I took the vehicle not being 100% satisfied as it was not at all what I had requested. Also we have always had an employee discount (My dad retired from the Oklahoma GM Plant) and have been told the discount is always taken off the MSRP. John Holt took the discount off the sticker price. When asked about this they informed us that they have to charge a certain price that General Motors says based off the VIN # and every car, even if they are exactly the same can be priced differently. When I went back the next day to let the owner, John Holt know how I felt about our experience I was just given a sorry and a promise that my FWD vehicle would handle just fine in the bad weather here in Oklahoma. It wasn't completely about that it was that I DID NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING THAT I HAD ASKED FOR. EVERYTHING WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL with the whole process! The whole process was very stressful and we will not be purchasing future vehicles from John Holt.
